The job

Not everything happens on a scaffold. A chimney cap is banker work — cut from solid stone on the saw, then worked to its profile at the bench before it ever leaves the workshop.

What it takes

Work like this is why the workshop exists: a bridge saw for the initial cuts, and then hand and power tools at the bench to bring the piece to its profile.
