Customer Reviews

We couldn’t be happier with Charlie & Elliot at Jackson’s Stonemasonry Ltd, who recently repointed the front of our 1800s Cotswold stone cottage. From the outset, Charlie was helpful, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. The quote was detailed and clear, and the final cost was exactly as quoted, down to the penny. Charlie also took the time to talk us through the lime mortar colour, helping us choose the perfect finish for our cottage. Throughout the job, communication was fantastic. Charlie & Elliot were incredibly courteous and kept us informed about when they would be arriving, leaving and any days they needed to work on another site. They turned up when they said they would and put in a proper day’s work. I also have to mention how ridiculously tidy they were! I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen tradespeople look after a site so well. Every evening, they cleaned everything down, brushed the paving, collected the rubble and neatly stored away their ladders and equipment. It was the little things that made such a difference when having work done on our home. And the finished stonework? It looks fantastic! The cottage has so much more definition now, and the fresh lime mortar really complements the natural variation in the Cotswold stone. What a difference compared with the before photos! It’s not often you find tradespeople who combine this level of craftsmanship with such good communication, reliability and genuine care. We were so impressed with Charlie & Elliot that we wouldn’t hesitate to have them back for future work. If you’re looking for stonemasons who take real pride in what they do, we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you, Charlie & Elliot — we’re absolutely delighted with the result! 🤩
